For sixteen remarkable years, Summer Sizzle BVI has been far more than a fashion event—it has become a global celebration of creativity, culture, tourism, and Caribbean excellence. Founded in 2009 by visionary Executive Producer Terry Donovan, the event has transformed the British Virgin Islands into an international destination where fashion, luxury, music, art, and travel converge in spectacular fashion.
Inspired by the excitement of New York Fashion Week, Donovan’s vision was to create an event that would showcase the Caribbean as a world-class fashion destination. Sixteen years later, that vision has become reality. Summer Sizzle BVI now attracts internationally acclaimed designers, photographers, media professionals, influencers, luxury travelers, and fashion enthusiasts from around the world, proving that the Caribbean is not simply participating in the global fashion industry—it is helping shape it.
This year’s celebration offered a week-long destination experience featuring Tropical Night: A Taste of the BVI Welcome Dinner, Let’s Glow Crazy! Pre-Festival Fête, the Sizzle Saturdaze Shopping Experience, the breathtaking Global Glamour Runway Show, and the unforgettable Virgin Gorda Sailing & Beach Party. Visitors enjoyed not only extraordinary fashion but also the natural beauty, hospitality, cuisine, and culture that make the British Virgin Islands one of the Caribbean’s premier destinations.

More Than Fashion—An Economic and Cultural Movement
Summer Sizzle BVI continues to serve as a powerful economic driver for the British Virgin Islands. Visitors support local hotels, restaurants, retailers, transportation providers, tour operators, and small businesses while experiencing the islands’ rich culture and warm hospitality.
The event seamlessly blends:
Luxury tourism
Caribbean culture
International fashion
Local entrepreneurship
Culinary experiences
Art and entertainment
Regional collaboration
This unique combination continues to strengthen the territory’s tourism economy while showcasing the British Virgin Islands as a destination for both leisure and luxury.
Terry Donovan’s Vision Continues to Inspire
Executive Producer Terry Donovan envisioned an event where Caribbean creatives would stand alongside the world’s leading fashion professionals—and over the past sixteen years, he has delivered exactly that.

His commitment to connecting international designers with Caribbean talent has created opportunities extending far beyond the runway. Summer Sizzle BVI has become a platform where designers launch collections, models expand their careers, photographers capture iconic moments, and creatives establish lasting international partnerships.
Through his leadership, Donovan has built one of the Caribbean’s premier fashion experiences while demonstrating that the region’s creativity deserves a place on the global stage.
Crystal Stewart Brings Hollywood Elegance

Adding even more prestige to this year’s celebration was actress, former Miss USA, and television personality Crystal Stewart, who served as host of the Global Glamour Runway.
Known worldwide for her work with filmmaker Tyler Perry and her standout role in Netflix’s Beauty in Black, Stewart brought sophistication, warmth, and effortless charisma to the evening. Her commanding stage presence elevated every designer presentation and reflected the international caliber that has become synonymous with Summer Sizzle BVI.

Together, these organizations demonstrate that when Caribbean creatives work together, the region’s influence reaches far beyond its shores.
Capturing Every Iconic Moment
Fashion may last only minutes on the runway, but photography preserves those moments forever.
Among those documenting Summer Sizzle BVI was internationally respected photographer and model Mark Gunter, whose editorial eye has become recognized throughout the global fashion industry.
Known for capturing movement, emotion, and artistry, Gunter’s work transforms each runway presentation into timeless imagery worthy of magazine covers and international publications.
His photographs preserve not only fashion but also the history, creativity, and legacy of Summer Sizzle BVI itself.
Where Fashion Meets Paradise

Summer Sizzle BVI has become much more than an annual runway show.
It is where luxury travel meets high fashion.
Where Caribbean culture meets international creativity.
Where emerging talent meets global opportunity.
Where designers build lasting legacies.
Where photographers preserve history.
And where the British Virgin Islands continue to shine as one of the world’s most inspiring destinations for fashion, tourism, and culture.
A Legacy That Continues to Grow
As Summer Sizzle BVI celebrates sixteen years of style, music, art, and culture, its influence extends far beyond the runway. The event continues to strengthen tourism, create opportunities for designers and models, support photographers and creative professionals, and position the British Virgin Islands as a premier destination for fashion and cultural excellence.
Thanks to the vision of Terry Donovan, the elegance of host Crystal Stewart, the artistry of internationally acclaimed photographer Mark Gunter, the inspiring presence of Jessica Millin, the leadership of Treasa Wyatt and SKN Unchained, the contributions of Authentic Models & Talent Agency and Passarella by Aideliz, and an extraordinary lineup of designers from across the Caribbean and around the world, Summer Sizzle BVI continues to raise the standard for fashion throughout the region.
As the final model exited the runway and the applause filled the venue, one truth became undeniable:
Fashion is more than fabric. It is culture. It is identity. It is art. It is storytelling.
