Where Fashion Meets the Field: Miguel Wilson’s 9th Annual Fashion and Polo Classic Delivers Luxury, Culture & Star Power
The 9th Annual Miguel Wilson Collection Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic brought together fashion, entertainment, celebrity culture and competitive polo for an afternoon that was about much more than luxury. Held at Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, the signature event once again connected culture and class while raising awareness and support for youth equestrian programs.
Presented by the Miguel Wilson Collection and the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, the ninth annual celebration featured gourmet food, signature cocktails, VIP party tents, fashion, live entertainment and elite polo matches featuring the Morehouse Polo Club, Atlanta B.E.S.T. Academy Polo Team and a visiting Nigerian Polo Team. The event has grown into one of Atlanta’s notable social and philanthropic gatherings, with more than 2,000 attendees throughout the weekend.
Among the high-profile guests in attendance was Gubernatorial Candidate for Georgia and Former Mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms, civil rights attorney Ben Crump and Pastor Jamal Bryant. Other celebs that came out to support the cause included Big Tigger, Maurice Johnson, Karon Joseph Riley, Terri Vaughn, Shaquita Smith, Red Grant, Drea Kelly, Mimi Faust, and many more.
The entertainment was another major highlight, with singer, songwriter and actor Tyrese delivering a featured live performance. The event was hosted by Atlanta radio personality and entertainment executive Kenny Burns, adding his signature energy to an afternoon that blended music, fashion and polo.
But at the heart of the Classic was the mission behind the celebration. Over its nine-year history, the event has served as the primary fundraising event for the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, which works to provide young people in underrepresented communities with greater access to equestrian sports.
The foundation continues to support the Morehouse Polo Club, which made history as the first HBCU polo team, as well as the Atlanta B.E.S.T. Academy Polo Team, recognized as the nation’s first all-Black high school polo team registered with the U.S. Polo Association.
Founder Miguel Wilson has consistently emphasized that the young riders are the heartbeat of the event. His vision is to break down barriers in equestrian sports and give young people access to opportunities and experiences that may have previously been out of reach.
And that message was clearly visible on the polo field, where fashion, culture and philanthropy came together to create an experience that was both entertaining and purposeful.
After nine years, the Miguel Wilson Collection Fashion & Polo Classic has evolved into more than a social event. It has become a platform for building a legacy, creating opportunity and introducing a new generation to the world of equestrian sports—while giving Atlanta another unforgettable day of fashion, celebrity and culture.
