While the city was filled with unforgettable performances, conversations, and experiences, some of the weekend’s most anticipated celebrations were led by Keshia Walker (FAMU Alum), Founder & CEO of Insights Marketing, whose vision continues to create spaces that honor excellence, community, leadership, and legacy.
From the energy and pride of the HBCU Alumni Reunion, to the elegance and empowerment of the 8th Annual Women En Blanc Honors Brunch, and the legendary celebration of music and culture at the 27th Annual All White Affair featuring Raheem DeVaughn Live, these experiences represented everything ESSENCE weekend stands for — unity, achievement, representation, and celebrating the greatness within the Black community.

HBCU Alumni Reunion — A Celebration of Legacy, Education & Culture

ESSENCE weekend began with the unforgettable energy of the HBCU Alumni Reunion, presented by Keshia Walker, Insights Marketing, LK Production, and partners.
The event created a powerful gathering space for alumni, students, supporters, and friends of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) from across the nation. The atmosphere was filled with school pride, networking, music, fellowship, and celebration as guests honored the historic impact and legacy of HBCUs.

Hosted by actor Lance Gross (Howard University), the reunion brought together generations connected by education, culture, and excellence. With sounds provided by DJs representing the HBCU experience including DJ E Clazz (GSU), DJ Be (JSU), DJ Skillz (St. Augustine), Mr. All White (ASU) and more, the celebration represented the diversity and pride of the HBCU community.
More than a social gathering, the HBCU Alumni Reunion was a reminder that HBCUs continue to produce leaders, entrepreneurs, entertainers, executives, innovators, and changemakers who influence industries around the world.
The celebration honored history while continuing to inspire the future.

The Women En Blanc Honors Brunch returned as one of ESSENCE Festival weekend’s most beautiful and empowering experiences.
Presented by Keshia Walker and Insights Marketing, with presenting sponsor Smirnoff, Women En Blanc continued its mission of recognizing extraordinary women who are making an impact across industries including business, entertainment, media, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and community leadership.
Surrounded by elegance and dressed in signature all-white fashion, attendees gathered for a celebration of sisterhood, achievement, and purpose.
The room represented the power of women supporting women — sharing stories, creating partnerships, and celebrating the journey of leadership. It was more than brunch; it was a reminder that recognition matters and that women continue to shape culture, business, and communities across the world.

The celebration continued with the iconic 27th Annual All White Affair, another signature ESSENCE weekend experience presented by Keshia Walker and Insights Marketing, with presenting sponsor Smirnoff.
Known as one of the most anticipated events surrounding ESSENCE weekend, the All White Affair brought together celebrities, entertainers, entrepreneurs, professionals, media personalities, and culture leaders for an unforgettable celebration.
The evening featured an incredible live performance by Raheem DeVaughn, whose soulful voice and timeless R&B created the perfect soundtrack for a night filled with connection, love, and celebration.

Adding to the excitement, the event was hosted by Raheem DeVaughn an amazing lineup that included Maurice Johnson, who brought charisma, star power, and entertainment energy to the experience as guests celebrated one of New Orleans’ premier ESSENCE weekend events.
