Jermaine Dupri, Issa Rae, and Cathy Hughes headlined the TSP-Live 2023 Conference

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Traffic, Sales and Profits concluded its TSP Live 2023 three-day conference that brought thousands of business owners and entrepreneurs together to go through boot camps and extensive training to learn how to grow their business through e-commerce and how to drive more traffic to their business websites.

The conference was held at the Avalon Hotel in the Atlanta area for the second year in a row. Last year keynote speaker was Magic Johnson. This year convention brought out heavy hitters such as Hip Hop Music Mogul Jermaine Dupri, Popular TV Producer and Star of HBO's Insecure Issa Rae, and on the final day, Media Icon Cathy Hughes the owner of Radio One and TV One and the second richest Black Woman behind Oprah Winfrey.

Jermaine Dupri, during his chat with conference host Lamar Tyler, unpacked his lessons learned in music and business, and his blueprint for success. He also talked about his new business ventures, such as his vegan ice cream company, and also having a lack of fear when going into unchartered waters.

Day Two of the conference was packed from morning until the late afternoon with several powerful business seminars ranging from "Learning how to use ChatGPT" from Alicia Lyttle, to "Upgrading your E-Commerce with AI" conducted by by TSP Coach John Lawson. The more than one thousand Black Small Business owners in attendance received one nugget after another of knowledge from the different experts and coaches throughout the conference.

The keynote speaker for Day two was none other than Issa Rae, star and the producer of HBO's Insecure. Some of the most inspiring points of her fireside chat with TSP Founder Lamar Tyler, were…

· Network within the circle you already have

· What you see as failures are really your biggest lessons

· Trust your gut and creative vision

· Invest in yourself and other people you believe in

· Stay on YOUR path and be mindful that everything that looks right isn’t always right for you, so take opportunities that make sense for your calling

· Dreaming big doesn’t always mean that you know the full vision right away; it is always evolving, and when you’ve achieved your dream on one level, you’ll unlock the next

Day Three of the conference concluded with more informational seminars including how to attain Corporate Sponsorships for your business ventures, and awards and acknowledgements for high earning businesses within the organization. Media Icon and owner of Radio One and TV One Cathy Hughes energized the audience with stories throughout her pioneering career from her humble beginnings as a single mom struggling to run a radio station in Washington DC and trying to secure financing, to growing the business as a publicly traded Media Conglomerate.

The conference ended the night out with Hip Hop Legend Slick Rick the Ruler singing an array of his classic hits from "La Di Da Di" to "Children's Story".

Founded by business coach couple Ronnie & Lamar Tyler, TSP gives entrepreneurs and business owners surefire systems and strategies to grow their business through digital marketing. “It’s hard for us to contain our excitement having the lineup of amazing Business and Entertainment Icons as keynote speakers for TSP LIVE,” stated Lamar Tyler. “When we say that TSP LIVE is a conference like no other, we mean it,” adds Tyler. “When you walk through the door, you immediately know what Black Excellence looks and feels like; especially because there are Black Millionaires walking through our hallways who have achieved trailblazing success in e-commerce, beauty, apparel brands, service industry, technology, restaurants & hospitality, law, medical fields, accounting, finance, and many more professional industries, and they’re openly sharing business advice and gems of success on the spot."

One of the greatest highlights of a TSP LIVE conference is the GIVEBACK. Every year, Lamar and Ronnie extend an opportunity for conference-goers to purchase a full video replay of the event and 100% of the proceeds are donated to a nonprofit that is doing great work in the Black community. This year’s recipient was announced as the Black and Missing Foundation. Conference-goers had already raised $19K on the first day. Lamar and Ronnie made their own donation of $10K bringing the total amount raised by the end of the conference to $60K!
