Boxing champion Claressa Shields is proving that her talents extend beyond the boxing ring. On Monday, November 2, Atlanta’s entertainment community came out to support the undefeated champion as she introduced another side of her personality during a star-studded album listening party presented by Rolling Out Magazine and curated by Klassymo.
Titled “Gloves Off, Mic On,” the exclusive event brought together more than 500 guests, including celebrities, recording artists, media personalities, influencers, and entertainment executives for an evening celebrating Shields’ transition into music.
Among the notable guests in attendance were rapper and Shields’ boyfriend Papoose, Hot Boyz member Turk, Queen Just Brittany, Scrappy, Jhonni Blaze, R&B singer Dondria, Bri Biase, and several other familiar faces from the entertainment industry.
Guests were treated to an exclusive preview of nine tracks from Shields’ upcoming album, What Did You Expect. The evening also celebrated her new single, “Party,” which was released just days before the event, accompanied by an official music video.
Shields didn’t just let the music speak for itself. She took center stage to perform several selections from the upcoming project, giving attendees a firsthand look at her musical ambitions. One of the evening’s highlights came when Papoose joined her onstage, showing his support for her latest creative venture.

The event also featured celebrity chef Maurice, signature cocktails, music by DJ Plugg, and a boxing-themed photo experience that paid tribute to Shields’ championship legacy while introducing her new identity as a recording artist.
For someone who has spent years dominating the boxing world, stepping into the music industry represents another opportunity to challenge herself and explore new creative territory.
With multiple world championships, an undefeated professional boxing record, and now a growing presence in entertainment, Claressa Shields continues to demonstrate that she isn’t interested in limiting herself to one lane.
The GWOAT is stepping into a new arena, and this time, she’s bringing the microphone!
