Black on the Block is back and bigger than ever in 2025, bringing together Black-owned businesses, music, and community in a powerful celebration of culture and creativity.
On Sunday, August 17th, the Los Angeles Center Studios transformed into a cultural hub, featuring over 100 Black-owned vendors, food, art, and live performances. From the moment the doors opened at 1 PM, the energy was undeniable—families, entrepreneurs, and creatives came together to shop, eat, vibe, and support the culture.

This year’s festival wasn’t just about the music—it was also a marketplace for innovation, fashion, art, and opportunity. The Many Wigs Podcast went live onsite, shining a spotlight on entrepreneurs and creatives by interviewing vendors and sharing their unique stories.

The vendor tent itself was a scene to remember—inviting and elegant, decorated with white and gold accents that drew people in to browse, shop, and connect. Beyond fashion, food, and art, several vendors also offered career opportunities and jobs, expanding the event’s impact into empowerment and economic growth.

Why It Matters
This event was more than just entertainment—it was energy, entrepreneurship, and empowerment rolled into one. The food was mouthwatering, the vendors were innovative and engaging, and the performers brought the soul. Closing the evening with BET Award winner and Grammy Award-winning and multi-talented artist Leon Thomas was the icing on the cake.
