Actress Michelle Lamb Showcases Faith, Film and Purpose with her Production Company's Launch

Michelle L. Lamb has steadily built an impressive career in television and film as both an actress and filmmaker. With the launch of her production company, MLLamb Productions, Michelle Lamb is taking another significant step in her career—moving beyond performing to developing original content that inspires audiences while creating new opportunities for diverse voices in the entertainment industry. Michelle recently introduced her new production company with The Spaces Between My Dreams: An Evening with Michelle Lamb. Held at ModEx Studios, the showcase fundraiser celebrated independent filmmaking while giving attendees an exclusive look at two of her latest projects, Second Chances and Relatable AF.

Guests enjoyed a screening of Second Chances, an emotional drama exploring family, forgiveness, and the power of rebuilding relationships. The event included an engaging Q&A with Michelle Lamb and members of the Second Chances cast, giving the audience a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and the inspiration behind her productions.

More than just a film screening, the evening served as a fundraiser supporting the continued production of the Second Chances series while celebrating independent storytellers committed to creating meaningful and uplifting content.

We caught up with Michelle Lamb for an exclusive interview on her production company her plans for the future.

Boss XL Mag - What motivated you to take a leap of faith and start your own production company?

Michelle Lamb - I took a leap of faith to start my own company because I simply wanted more. As a veteran, actress, and filmmaker, I've learned that perseverance opens doors. My company allows me to create opportunities not only for myself, but for other talented artists whose voices deserve to be heard. At MLLamb Productions, our mission is simple: when vision meets action, extraordinary things can happen. Now with MLLamb Productions, I stopped waiting for a seat at the table and I'm building my own and I'm committed to opening seats for others.

Boss XL Mag - What are some challenges with directing your own films?

Michelle Lamb - Some challenges with directing my own films is wanting to give everyone a chance when I can't. One of the greatest rewards of directing is bringing a vision to life. There's nothing more fulfilling than watching a script evolve into a living, breathing story through the collaboration of talented actors and crew members. I enjoy helping actors discover truthful moments in their performances and creating an environment where creativity can thrive.

The biggest challenge is balancing the creative vision with the practical realities of filmmaking. A director is responsible for solving problems, managing time, staying within budget, and making countless decisions while keeping the entire team motivated. It's demanding, but I embrace those challenges because every obstacle teaches me something new and ultimately makes me a stronger filmmaker.

Boss XL Mag - What are some other projects on the horizon?

Michelle Lamb - This is an exciting season for me. I'm continuing to develop Second Chances, a relationship drama that explores forgiveness, family, and redemption. I'm also expanding MLLamb Productions with additional film and television projects that focus on compelling storytelling and diverse voices.

As an actress, I remain passionate about pursuing dynamic roles that challenge me creatively while continuing to grow as a producer and director. My long-term goal is to build a production company known for creating impactful content that entertains, inspires, and leaves audiences thinking long after the credits roll.
